Liverpool

It is often not the first city you think of exploring. However, even if you’ve never visited Liverpool you are likely to have heard of it because it is where the Beatles came from and it is also home to one of the world’s most famous football clubs.

A visit to the Royal Liver building, a Grade I-listed building by the Liverpool harbour is a must if you would like to appreciate the scale of the city and get a 360-degree view of the city. Alternatively you can also climb the stairs inside the Liverpool Cathedral to get a panoramic view of the city.

It’s a perfect destination for a long weekend. There are plenty to see in the Royal Albert Docks waterfront - from Tate Liverpool to Museum of Liverpool and an array of cafes and restaurants in the area.

Head to Bold Street for a selection of independent stores, cafes and restaurants. This quirky and lively shopping street is one of my favourite spots in the city.
